Triumph Additional Information
This is a very pretty Triumph Toledo 1300 RWD car which has obviously been loved and well cared for by its previous owners. It's easy to drive with excellent starting, light steering and good brakes. It's also been fitted with four three point seatbelts, making it ideal for classic outings with the family. These cars haven't yet quite got the classic status of the Triumph Herald range which they replaced but they're gradually getting there, and they're really a much nicer car to drive in today's road conditions.
There is a small history file which includes the original Owner's Handbook, Passport to Service booklet, some period marketing Material , several MOTs and a few invoices. The car has recently had new front shock absorbers, new windscreen and seal, new clutch, and new stainless steel exhaust. Tyres are all good.
It's a very original car, retaining the engine with which it left the factory, and is in very good order mechanically. There are no unusual engine or transmission noises, the car drives really well with a remarkably good ride for a car of the early seventies ( when I seem to remember our roads were in rather better condition than they are today!). The bodywork and underside are solid and in very good order and the paintwork, although it has been touched in over the years in various places, is very presentable. The interior is outstanding and very original. The current mileage is 56000 which, looking at the history and the overall condition of the car, may very well be correct.
Although MOT and road tax payment exempt the car has an advisory free MOT until 31st July 2020, and is HPI clear.
This is a really nice straightforward little classic which will cost next to nothing to run, will undoubtedly increase in value over the coming years, and which is ready to drive and enjoy straight away. I'm sure it will not disappoint.
